This time machine was built by Bulma. It plays a huge role
in the Android Saga. It was given to Trunks to come from the
future to the current time line to warn the Z Fighters of
the androids. His warning enables them to train and get
stronger for the battles which proves to be life saving. He
also becomes strong enough to defeat the evil in his own
time.
